Platform tour

The complete toolkit for race operations

Run the whole weekend from one workspace — sessions, runs and laps, setups, tyres, parts, weather and reporting — with database-enforced security on every record.

AI Analysis — every trend in your season, in seconds

Trakops reads everything a car records across the season — pace, consistency, tyre degradation, setup direction, weather sensitivity — and surfaces the trends that matter, in plain language, with the numbers behind them. The engineering calls stay yours.

  • Trends across the whole season, not just one run
  • Computed from your data — grounded, not guessed
  • Your engineering IP stays yours — opt-in, never used to train models

Built for race teams

Everything a race weekend needs

One platform for operations and engineering — not a folder of spreadsheets.

Event workspace

One context, the whole weekend

Pick championship → event → car once and it follows you through runs, laps, setups, tyres, issues and notes. A live session countdown keeps everyone on the same clock — in the venue’s timezone.

  • Unlimited runs per session with lap & sector timing
  • Driver assignment, fuel, weather and temps per run
  • Realtime presence — see who’s editing the car with you
  • Venue-local session countdown and live status

Setups & formulas

Setups that calculate themselves

Build setup templates per chassis, then let the formula engine do the maths. Setup-behaviour rules decide which parameters are entered and which are calculated from a base reference — and changes highlight as you go.

  • Parameter templates with units and decimals
  • Calculated cells via a sandboxed formula engine
  • Base-reference rules per setup type (e.g. camber from shims)
  • Side-by-side setup compare across runs and events

Tyres & parts

Every tyre and component, tracked

Manage the tyre fleet org-wide — sets, corner allocations, depths and pressures per run. The pressure model learns cold→hot gain and recommends cold set-points. Parts & Lifing tracks serialised components against distance limits.

  • Tyre sets, depths and cold/hot pressures per run
  • Pressure model: target hot → recommended cold
  • Serialised parts with typed slots and life limits
  • Usage warnings before a part reaches its limit

Weather & reporting

From the track to a polished report

Auto-fill per-session weather and export a full-weekend PDF report per car. Setup and run sheets print straight from the workspace.

  • Per-session weather forecasts and observations
  • Full-weekend event report PDF, per car
  • Setup and run sheets print straight from the workspace

Security Architecture

Three layers. One unified access model.

Access control in Trakops goes beyond a simple on/off permission. The platform separates subscription entitlements, user permissions, and data visibility to ensure teams can protect sensitive engineering and operational information while maintaining efficient collaboration.

01

Organisation Entitlements

Your subscription determines which modules are available to your organisation. Core functionality can be extended with optional modules such as Session Planner, AI Analysis, Reporting and Tyres.

Users only see the features your organisation has licensed, keeping the platform streamlined and relevant to your team’s needs.

02

Feature Access

Roles, feature groups and user-specific overrides define what each person can do within the platform — from viewing runs and editing setups to managing users and administration settings.

Access is governed by the combination of organisational entitlements and individual user permissions, ensuring users can only interact with features they have been granted access to.

03

Data Visibility

Engineering data is protected using a default-deny approach. Non-administrators require explicit access to championships, events and chassis, either directly or through assigned data groups.

Permissions inherit through the data hierarchy, meaning access granted at a championship level automatically extends to associated events, runs, setups, files and related records. This provides a secure and scalable way to manage access while protecting valuable team intellectual property.

Database-enforced security

Access is checked in PostgreSQL RLS, so a missing grant means no data — not just a hidden button.

A real formula engine

Calculated setup parameters and base-reference rules, evaluated in a sandbox that’s injection-proof by design.

Live collaboration

Edits sync to the crew in about a second, with presence so you know who’s on the car.

Timezone-accurate sessions

Session times are stored in the event’s IANA timezone, so countdowns are right wherever you are.

Metric or imperial

Store once in SI, show in your team’s units — °C/°F, bar/psi, km/mi — across the whole app.

Pay for what you use

Start on Core; add Setups, Planner, Tyres, Weather and more as the programme grows.
